What happened to VMP XSite's CertMail features?

This document is only for customers who are using a VMP XSite.  If you have any other type of XSite, you can disregard this notice.

On February 1st, 2015, CertMail in VMP XSites will be retired.  CertMail is the built-in e-mail program that came with your VMP XSite.  Most companies don’t use this as their business e-mail service but if you do, don’t worry.  We’re here to help you get a new e-mail service in place.

As of December 15th, 2014, the ability to create new accounts has been disabled.  Don't worry, though — until Feb. 1, your existing accounts will continue to work.

First, you need to choose a new e-mail provider.  Here’s a list of alternative e-mail providers that will allow you to use your domain name, just as you are using now.

In addition to the listed companies above, most domain registrars also offer e-mail hosting.

Second, after signing up with your chosen e-mail provider, they will provide you with DNS information that you need to redirect your e-mail from CertMail to them.  Log in to Mercury Network, and click the “Contact Support”  link in the top right corner.  Give us the DNS information, and we’ll make all the necessary changes to your domain, allowing your e-mail to start flowing to your new host.

Alternatively, you can call us at 1-888-794-0455 and we’ll get you set up.

Mercury Network and a la mode neither endorse nor support any of the companies linked to from this document.  They were included for informational purposes only.
