Appraisal Scope Release Notes

Appraisal Scope Updates — Week 41

This week we released two updates which included the changes below.

New features:

  • A new appraiser statement feature is available to be shown in Accounting. This feature allows staff users to create statements for specific appraisers over specific periods of time.
  • A new field is now available on the order form called Estimated Closing Date. This field is hidden by default, and can be enabled for all clients in Settings > Options > Order Form. Additionally, this item can be overridden on a per-client basis via the new "Override Estimated Closing Date requirement" setting in Company Settings. The company setting will take precedence over the global setting if enabled.

Optimizations

  • Optimization 1
When searching by file number in the Dashboard, the results should now show up lighting fast.
  • Optimization 2
We have also done even more database optimizations, which frankly I'm not sure how to explain other than by saying, "good stuff, faster".
  • Optimization 3
We also released an all new Rule Profile engine, which will primarily benefit your clients, oddly.  When submitting an order, the system has to go check it against all the rule profiles in the system to determine which rule profile should apply to that order.  In cases where you have dozens or hundreds of rule profiles, the client might sit there for some time before the order appears to have actually been successfully submitted.  This should not be a problem again.

Fixes

  • We corrected an issue preventing invoices from being emailed from Accounting > Client Invoices.
  • The Default fee table will now be applied correctly to newly-created client companies if no fee table is otherwise explicitly set.
  • Appraisal Scope now consumes the 900040 event sent from Mercury Network on integrated orders. (900040, 900041, whatever it takes.)
  • Fixed a bug causing some UCDP submissions to give the error "UCDP Order ID not available" until the page was refreshed or Update Status was clicked.
  • Corrected a bug that caused an appraiser's SSN or Tax ID number to be deleted after the appraiser updated his or her profile.  Yikes!
  • The "Send document to client as" setting now defaults to Link for all new clients, and will display a prompt warning the user if they attempt to switch to Attachment.
  • Garbage characters in the loan number field will no longer prevent payment information from being stored.
