Appraisal Scope Updates — October 13, 2021

This update brings enhancements to integrations, smoother automations, and performance improvements.

Issue Resolutions

Improvements to Rule Profiles

One of the powerful automations available in Appraisal Scope – called Rule Profiles – enables a Staff user to be automatically assigned to an order based on conditions that you can configure. This saves you time and creates consistency by making sure orders are assigned to a user that has the best tools and expertise for the job. In this release, we improved the code that powers the Rule Logic features so automatic assignment is faster and more reliable.

Mercury Network integration enhancements

Appraisal Scope integrates tightly with Mercury Network, our sibling collateral platform from CoreLogic. In fact, thousands of lender clients use Mercury Network to send orders to Appraisal Scope customers every day. In this update, we made improvements to this integration to support your team’s efficiency when working with your clients who use Mercury Network.

  • We’ve added an option to make sure important communications between Appraisal Scope and Mercury Network receive the attention they require. When a Staff user generates an Email Office message in Appraisal Scope, there is a new checkbox called Action Required (Mercury). If this box is checked, the message will appear in the Action Required folder within the recipient’s dashboard in Mercury Network.
  • We added logging and internal alerts that will help the CoreLogic team collaborate in real-time to solve issues that might impact orders that are flowing via the integration between Appraisal Scope and Mercury Network.
Keystone integration enhancements

As with all of Appraisal Scope’s integrations, the Keystone integration helps you readily connect with your clients to receive and deliver order details, status updates, documents, and important communications while avoiding repetitive data entry and reducing human error. In this update, we added several enhancements to this integration.

  • We’ve added support to ensure Cancellations, Requests for Cancellation, and Message events will appear in the Messages tab within Appraisal Scope’s Dashboard.  This will allow our customers to give proper attention to the order.
  • Multiple updates to the Email Office functionality will improve communication management throughout the life of an order.
  • We removed the logic placing Unpaid (Invoiced) orders On Hold to support the workflow the customer has established with their lending partner.
Client Dashboard updates

We know that you are focused on providing an excellent experience for your lender clients, so the Dashboard your clients see when they log in is an important component of your success. With that in mind, this release eliminates inconsistencies that some of your clients may have seen when viewing their total number of appraisals completed within the platform.

Better experience for invalid URLs

One great feature of Appraisal Scope is that each AMC has a platform that’s entirely their own, complete with a unique URL that helps reinforce your brand and simplify access for clients and vendors. With this release, we improved the user experience and enhanced security when a client or vendor uses an incorrect URL to access an Appraisal Scope platform. Now, visitors who use an incorrect address will see information to better assist them in redirecting their search.

Smoother workflow for assignment automation

Appraisal Scope offers the ability to automatically assign orders to appraisers based on each of your client’s needs. This automation enables you to accommodate many different clients efficiently and quickly regardless of geography, do-not-use lists, appraiser designation preferences, and many other factors. It is a favorite among the platform’s many automations, and we made a small change in this release to improve transparency for a feature that avoids automatic assignment if the property address matches other files. The setting called, Prevent order from auto-assigning if it is a duplicate order, has been moved to the Assignment Logic section so it fits more naturally based on the way it’s used in your workflow.

Performance Improvements

One of our goals is to constantly improve the reliability and performance of the platform. To support that goal, we continued our work to optimize the code that powers Appraisal Scope. This includes refactoring components of the platform which is an ongoing initiative that’s designed to improve your workflow and support your team's efficiency.
