Mercury Network 3.0 - November 3, 2020 Update

This update contains enhancements within Mercury Network. See the blog post here.

New Features

  • New VA Orders folder
To streamline your workflow for VA orders, we added a new VA Orders folder in Mercury Network. This folder can be found just beneath the FHA folders in Order Management. Any order with a loan type of VA will appear within this folder until it's completed or cancelled, regardless of its status. To keep order-status monitoring simple and consistent, the order will also appear in the corresponding status folder. For example, a VA order that's on hold will appear in the On Hold folder in addition to the VA Orders folder. There is one exception: VA orders will never appear in the Requires Reassignment folder because these orders are never assigned to a vendor within Mercury Network.

We made this change to accommodate the fact that VA orders cannot be assigned to vendors outside of the VA portal. Many of you have used workarounds for VA orders, such as placing them on hold in Mercury Network while processing the order within the VA portal, but this potentially caused confusion for staff and wasn't ideal. This new workflow helps track VA orders with accurate status updates and eliminates the need for workarounds in the platform.

Mercury Network Payments

  • Make a Payment page update
  • The Make a Payment page (which borrowers use to pay for their appraisal using a credit card) has been updated with an ADA-compliant color scheme. The same color scheme has also been applied to the email that borrowers receive requesting their payment, as well as the invoice they receive after submitting their payment.

As a reminder, the old version of the Make a Payment page will no longer be available as of November 18th because Adobe Flash is being fully retired. The latest version of that page has several advantages, including mobile compatibility and improved security features. Account Managers are reaching out to those of you still using the older version. If you are unsure of which version you are on, please reach out to customer relations at 1-800-900-4954.

Retiring "XSites"

  • As mentioned in a previous release, we are working to support the end of Adobe Flash by retiring the no-longer-used XSites. Business Management functionality won't be changed, but you'll see updates in the interface to remove references to the word "XSite". For instance XSite order will now be called VMP order and XSite Client will be replaced with VMP Client. In Mercury Network, the XSite-related links in configuration settings have been removed. We will continue this effort in the next release on November 18th.

XSite Orders (soon to be VMP Client orders)

  • We have fixed an issue that caused the Home and Work phone number extensions to not be displayed for clients, Mercury Network users or vendors.
