Using BytePro with your VMP XSite

If you use BytePro to manage your loans, you can use your VMP XSites' integration with BytePro to simplify your workflow by ordering your appraisals directly within your loan origination software.

Use the tabs below to configure BytePro, order and appraisal, then check status and retrieve documents.

Configure BytePro

  1. In BytePro, open an existing loan file, or create a new one.
  2. Click Interfaces at the top, then choose Appraisal.
  3. In the list that appears, click Mercury Network Enhanced.

    Note:     It's important that you not use the item that just says Mercury Network. That option only works if you don't have a VMP XSite.
  4. In the window that appears, click Defaults. This will open the Defaults window where you'll enter the following information, which will be saved for next time:
    • Account Identifier: Enter your Mercury Network Network ID
    • User Name: Enter your VMP Client Portal username
    • Password: Enter your VMP Client Portal password

That's it! Now BytePro is ready for you to order an appraisal.

Order an appraisal

  1. In BytePro, open an existing loan file, or create a new one.
  2. Click Interfaces at the top, then choose Appraisal.
  3. In the list that appears, click Mercury Network Enhanced.

    Note:     It's important that you not use the item that just says Mercury Network. That option only works if you don't have a VMP XSite.
  4. Now, click Submit New Order. When you do, the new appraisal order will be created with as much information from your loan file as possible.
  5. Now you'll see the New Appraisal Order window where the loan information will be populated from your loan file in BytePro. Add any information that is missing, then click Next to proceed with the order as you normally would in Mercury Network.

The new order has now been placed in Mercury Network.

To retrieve the status or view documents for an existing appraisal order within BytePro...

  1. Open the loan file in BytePro.
  2. Click Interfaces at the top, then choose Appraisal.
  3. Click Mercury Network Enhanced.

  4. In the window that appears, click Check Status. After a brief delay, the new status updates will be displayed in the Status Messages field below. In addition, any available documents will be displayed in the Documents field, and you can double-click any one of them to view it.
