Mercury Network 3.0 - December 18, 2019 Update
This update contains enhancements within Mercury Network. See the blog post here.
Mercury Network - New Features
- VMP XSite users are now able to edit the Client fee for an XSite order directly within Mercury Network. This new option is part of our continuing initiative to consolidate and streamline XSite tasks within the Mercury Network order.
- To make this possible, the Client fee will be shown as a link in the Mercury Network order which opens a new dialog window. There, a user with sufficient permissions can enter a new fee along with comments. When they do, the XSite order fee will be updated, eliminating the need to visit the XSite order. When the XSite order is updated this way, the audit trail will show this event just like it would if the fee had been edited via the XSite order.

- The Vendor fee will appear as a link which you can click to edit, or you can edit the vendor's fee by clicking Set status and choosing Change fee. Either way, you'll see the option to Update the fee on the VMP XSite and notify the client, further reducing the need to open the XSite order. If the user chooses not to update the XSite order when editing the fee this way, then decides to do so later, they can simply edit the Client fee using the link to update the XSite order fee.
- New columns in the Orders view
- To facilitate viewing and reporting based on the Client fee and Vendor fee, both are now available as columns you can add in the Orders view.
- In order to quickly view and create reports about orders for which you've received a payment, you can now enable the Payments Received column in your Orders view using the My Columns feature. This column is also available to your VMP XSite clients.
Mercury Network - Order Management
- Regarding the recently added ability to sync vendor-requested modifications and conditions to the XSite's Vendor fee, we added an icon which appears in the audit trail to indicate when the fee has been synced to the XSite. Plus, the two separate events shown in the audit trail for a Modification requested status have been consolidated into one item instead of two.
- In some cases, a duplicated order which was assigned to an AMC was not being automatically accepted by the AMC, and an error was displayed. Now, such an order will be automatically accepted by the AMC.
- If you have enabled Unattended order assignment, the system will now assign orders for Conventional Conversion Appraisal Update supplemental products to the original appraiser per your settings.
- When you delete a document in Mercury Network and sync the changes to the XSite order, a new audit trail event in your client's order will reflect the fact that the document was deleted.
Mercury Network - RealView
- There were instances when submitting a MISMO XML 1025 appraisal report to RealView for automated QC analysis resulted in an Unsupported form error. This has been rectified.
Mercury Network - VMP XSite Client Portal Security
- As part of our continuous efforts to monitor and strengthen the security of the Mercury Network platform, if a VMP XSite client account doesn't have permission to change their username or password, you can now click Edit login to enter the password for the client. Coming soon, VMP XSite clients will be required to use a strong password. So, this feature will allow the ability for the admin user (or another user with the Client management permission) to change those users' password. You can read more here about managing client logins.
Additionally, we will now require an email address when creating a new VMP XSite client login. This change supports a future "forgot password" feature that VMP XSite clients will use to securely reset their password.
Mercury Network - Make a Payment
- In certain scenarios, Chrome users were unable to apply payments to an order with multiple invoices. This issue has now been fixed.
- In cases where the borrower's credit card information is being passed to the AMC on the order so they can complete the transaction, the VMP XSite client will be notified when the card has been charged.
Mercury Network - SureReceipts
- We resolved a scenario where selecting the vendor as the recipient for a SureReceipts delivery didn't automatically populate the vendor's email address into the dialog window.
Mercury Network - Security
- During this update, we identified and removed parts of the code which are no longer needed. This is a normal part of operations that keeps the platform running reliably, securely, and efficiently.
Mercury Network - Invoices
- When the vendor fee changes after the order has already been completed, the invoice was not always updated with the new Fee paid to appraiser. This has been resolved.
